Robert Ballinger, a partner in the firm’s economic development incentives practice, wrote an article for the Commercial Real Estate Development Association (CREDA), titled “Ohio's Success Didn't Happen by Accident and Neither Will Its Future.”
The article focuses on the years of work and planning done to increase the state’s attractiveness to business investment. Ballinger emphasized the attention and funds that Ohio officials directed to site readiness, workforce development and infrastructure.
Support for mixed-use development, brownfield remediation, historic preservation, Opportunity Zones, and regulatory reform has enabled local leaders to unlock private capital, prepare sites, and transform long-planned projects into vibrant places for Ohioans to live, work and invest.
