Vorys Featured in The American Lawyer Story ‘Vorys Deploys AI Personas for Lawyers, Says Clients Are Next’
Vorys’ development and use of attorney AI personas was highlighted in a feature by The American Lawyer. The firm has collaborated with Stanford Law School’s liftlab to develop AI versions of 36 senior partners at the firm, which can be used by attorneys and staff for reviewing legal documents, offering edits for drafts, identifying risks in contracts and more.
Michael Martz, managing partner of the firm’s ten offices, told Law.com that the tool can help attorneys and staff when a second opinion is needed but a partner is not available. He said that AI personas would make Vorys’ attorneys more efficient and more effective.
"We see AI as a way to not only improve efficiency, but really improve the work product so that the work product is even better because instead of having one associate and a partner reviewing things, with this technology, we can have multiple partner viewpoints through the personas," Martz said.
Martz also noted that Vorys is planning to develop and incorporate AI personas of clients’ general counsel or in-house attorneys into the firm’s proprietary AI drafting assistant to get additional perspective on documents.
