Rights of Publicity/Persona (NIL), Trademark Rights & the First Amendment

Jabari Shaw, an associate in the Vorys Cincinnati office and a member of the intellectual property group, participated in a panel at the United States Patent and Trademark Office on June 4 in Alexandria, VA.  The title of the panel was “Rights of Publicity/Persona (NIL), Trademark Rights & the First Amendment.”

The presentation focused on the Right of Publicity, why trademarks matter, and the growing relevance of Name, Image and Likeness.
