Neighborhood Development Strategies 

Justin Heather, of counsel in the Vorys Houston office and a member of the firm’s economic development incentives practice, participated in a course hosted by the International Economic Development Council on October 7. 

The course, “Neighborhood Development Strategies,” explored strategies for placemaking, community engagement and sustainable revitalization efforts.  Justin gave two presentations during the event, titled “Accepting Change” and “Planning for Change.”

Fellow presenters included Patricia Mitchell, president of the North Carolina Economic Development Association; Ben Pratt, senior vice president of business investment for the Allegheny Conference on Community Development; and Maura Shenker, founder of AllHold Capital.
